#4 If they ignore the Supreme Court, the entire Potemkin village of federal power gets shaken very fast. Why should we follow federal direction, if the government itself is no longer playing by the rules? Also the Supreme Court will become more likely to rule against a rogue administration in other cases. In short, they will skirt around the edges of any ruling. They will not defy the Supreme Court. The Dems will talk about packing the court after the ruling, but they don’t have the votes in the Senate to confirm justices.
