Carville: I Would Bet Trump Is a 'No-Show' for the Debate

Host Ari Melber said, "When you look at these debates, this is next week, so people who don’t follow as closely as news viewers, they’re going to realize, here’s the debate. I wanted to mention for folks, the new rule, next week, it will be different. No opening statements, two minutes to answer each questions, red lights visible when time expires. In a big win for the Biden campaign given Trump is a rule breaker, the other candidate who’s not speaking will be muted when it’s not their turn."

Carville said, "Well, if I was a gambler — and actually, I am a gambler — I’d take even money that Trump doesn’t show up."

Melber said, "Ha. You don’t think Trump’s coming next week?"

Carville said, "I mean, I don’t know, but I think he’s gonna wake up and decide. Just like he said he was gonna testify at his defense in his trial. He didn’t even put on a defense. Let him show up. I wouldn’t be shocked, but I certainly would not be surprised if you gave me even money, I’d say he’s a no-show."

#6 I'm convinced Obama and the Cabal that has been the actual force behind most impactful decisions of the Puppet Show have been trying to get the Biden family and Kamala to willingly step aside for some time. Kamala refuses since she is certain she has a window of opportunity to assume the Presidency in the near future, pre or post election. Joe is delusional and vicious when aware of being contradicted or criticised. Jill/Hunter, Jim/Frank, and family members love the perks and power, and know serious criminal prosecutions and ruin await any exit unless pardons and futures are assured. Collectively they are intransigent.

Since the deal-making to remove their death-grip from power has become too hard, I believe Obama et al are just going to let the debate debacle happen, destroying the last fig-leaf of denial about how far-gone Joe actually is now. The depth of the failure will serve to unite every element of the largely fractured democrap base in fear of a massive tidal wave of Trumpian power.

Then the "rescue" to "save democracy" is revealed at the bogus convention kabuki theater and the hype of the "Save American Democracy Team" is revealed (actual players yet to be named, but new faces seem possible), with massive media spending, fueled by off-shore sources cloaked in dark-money gamesmanship, and every crooked trick the dems can pull in the two-month blitz that follows. It will be cutting edge emotional theater and packaging, no policy just endorphin soup in every serving by every delivery mechanism known to man.

#7 The scenario that I think will happen is that Trump will make a statement about Hunter’s conviction. Joe will throw a hissy and back out. That said, I think the debate happens.

Joe really really needs the debate to stop the bleeding of his poll numbers. Trump could easily make this the kill shot for Joe if Donald can remain composed and Joe drops into gibberish or is crazy aggressive.
