UNRWA chief firm on leadership amidst allegations; no intention to resign
|
[GEO.TV] Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the United Nations agency UNRWA, remains resolute, stating he has "no intention to resign" amidst allegations linking some staff members to the attack on Israel, Al Jazeera reported.
The UN agency, responsible for aiding Palestinians in Gaza, faces funding suspensions from several donor countries following the accusations.
UNRWA initiated an investigation into the matter and has taken action by dismissing staff members implicated in the attack.
