US tech giant Palantir decides to hold first board meeting of new year in Tel Aviv

[IsraelTimes] Alex Karp, CEO of the data-mining firm, which has an office in Tel Aviv, has voiced the firm’s support for Israel amid the ongoing war with Hamas, calling on others to follow suit.

#4 I had the opportunity to visit Palantir and view a demo. I was impressed at the capabilities of using new technology to generate battlefield recdomendations.

Company HQ is in Tel Aviv. So they offset the cost of flying there by not having to rent space for the meeting. Plus Tel Aviv apparently has amazing restaurants and nightlife, and probably shopping to match to amuse the spouses while the board is working. I’ve not yet been to Israel, so I can’t speak from personal experience — many of the countries Mr. Wife went for business would have looked askance at an Israeli stamp in his passport, so that was to have been a post-retirement trip ... or so we intended before I got sick. Now such things are beyond my ability until more is learnt about long covid and long influenza.
