Chicago mayor pleads for federal help as he sounds alarm on border crisis: 'Country is now at stake'

pleaded Wednesday for the federal government to take a bigger role in tackling the migrant crisis, warning that the Windy City and other parts of the US are being overwhelmed by new arrivals.

Johnson, 47, explained that he’s asked the Biden administration to set aside $15 billion worth of resources to address the issue.

Biden requested $13.6 billion for border security as part of a $106 billion supplemental aid package he unveiled in October that also included assistance for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.

Negotiations over that legislation are currently stalled in the Senate, with no vote in prospect until after the new year, if ever.

#6 Obviously, these mayors have very little influence, like their state Senators to murmur they might well vote for impeachment if this is not shut down immediately. Cause you know the mayor isn't going to say he'll deliver the votes to the alternative candidate if they do nothing.
