The call came as the results of a survey were published showing that two-thirds of the country's citizens believe that Chancellor Olaf Scholz is unable to cope with the crisis.
...According to the results of a survey by the public opinion research institute Forsa, 66% of respondents said that Scholz cannot cope with the current crisis situation in Germany, and only 24% of respondents consider him competent.
As IA Regnum previously reported , the ruling coalition in Germany continued to lose popular support, a survey by the Insa Institute showed. Only 35% of respondents expressed their willingness to vote for the parties included in the ruling coalition - the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), the Green Party and the Free Democratic Party (FDP). The support level for the Alternative for Germany party was 21%.
According to German political scientist Vladimir Sergienko , Scholz’s weak policies and support for Ukraine have seriously hit the German economy; this threatens to undermine the country’s economic power in five years. Germany will be able to recover to previous economic levels, but this requires serious changes in the country's political landscape, the expert said.
According to a study by the Allensbach Institute for Demoscopy, 50% of Germans believe that in 10-15 years Germany will cease to be one of the leading economies in the world, while in 2022 only 30% thought so.
