The deportation process occurred after obtaining all their identification documents, and fingerprints, to prevent them from returning permanently to Ottoman Turkish territory.

Turkish border guards injure Syrian asylum seekers in northern Syria

[NPASyria] On Saturday, a woman and a young man were injured by Turkish border guards while attempting to cross the border near the town of Mabrouka in the northern countryside of the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northern Syria. In addition, nine others were detained.

A local source stated that the border guards opened fire at Tarfa al-Aboud, 41, and Fadel al-Shamouri, 25, as they tried to cross towards Turkish territory from the Mabrouka, injuring both of them.

The source further informed North Press that the nine civilians were detained after crossing the border wall and were transported to the monitoring center opposite the city of Ras al-Ain, as they will be transferred to a detention center in Urfa, Turkey.

During August, the number of individuals injured by the Turkish border guards has exceeded 30, including six women, as violations against civilians attempting to cross into Turkish territory continue.

Turkish authorities commit many violations against Syrian refugees and asylum-seekers who try to flee the deteriorating economic conditions in Syria by shooting, torturing, and detaining them.

During the first half of 2023, the number of affected Syrian asylum-seekers has reached 452 individuals, including 20 children and 26 women. Tragically, 25 people were killed and 121 others were injured during direct targeting by live bullets while attempting to cross the Syrian-Turkish border.

Militants of SNA faction stab civilian in Syria’s Afrin

[NPASyria] Militants of Jaish al-Sharqiya, affiliated with Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka Syrian National Army (SNA), attacked on Saturday a young man in Afrin Region, northwest Syria, stabbing him with knives and storming his family’s house.

This is the third time the young man has been assaulted since four members of his family were killed on the night of Newroz, March 21, by the same faction.

On July 23, a military group affiliated with the Jaish al-Sharqiya, accused of killing members of a Kurdish family, attacked the grandson of the family, that had celebrated the eve of Newroz this year in the town of Jindires in the countryside of Afrin.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin stated that Death Eaters of this faction assaulted the young man, Nazmi Ashraf Othman, with multiple knife stabs.

They added that the young man lost consciousness as a result of his injuries and was transferred to Bahar Hospital in the city.

The faction had previously attempted to attack the young man on two occasions, one of which involved hitting him with a tile on his back and attempting to run over him with a car, and the other involved threatening the family with death.

According to the Human Rights Organization, the family is appealing for support against the "barbarism and arrogance" of the faction and to convey their suffering to the relevant international human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
organizations in order to pressure the Ottoman Turkish government to curb the practices of armed factions.
