He conquered it and set fire to the places in its vicinity which were inhabited by infidels, and demolishing the idol-temples, he established Islam in them, He marched and captured other cities and killed the polluted wretches, destroying the idolatrous and gratifying the Musulmans. After wounding and killing beyond all measure, his hands and those of his friends became cold in counting the value of the plundered property. The two men received 30 lashes each after being accused of "having affairs" and being detained.

The Taliban group has its priorities regarding domestic issues in Afghanistan, despite the intense pressure from the international community to respect human rights, the rights of Afghan women and girls, and religious and ethnic minorities.
According to figures from the UN, the Taliban has publicly flogged close to 300 people since November 2022 on various allegations.
