San Francisco police shut down an annual illegal skateboarding event that erupted into chaos - arresting 32 adults and citing 81 minors in the Mission District July 8

Hundreds gathered near Dolores Street to take part in the 'Dolores Hill Bomb' - a popular annual skateboarding event where people ride down a large hill

Officers issued a mass arrest of the crowd at 8.35 pm the majority were minors - cops seized multiple firearms, unignited fireworks and narcotics paraphernalia

The Harvey Milk Democratic Club was critical of the police response

#1 Seems like some lengths of chain rigged properly might have done the needed jobs without nearly as many SWAT officers.

#4 "...will not be tolerated". BS, it's an annual event. You tolerate it. Must say, very disappointed. Back in 70s Santa Rosa we had Hewlett-Packard Hill, n the cops would clock us and issue tickets accordingly. But that was our gig n we didn't issue invites. Any parent who brought their child to participate in that should get a CPS visit.
