Somaliland accuses Puntland of invading LasAnod after deadly clashes

[ShabelleMedia] The commander of the 12th division of the Somaliland Army, Gen. Faisal Abdi Botaan spoke about Saturday’s heavy fighting on the outskirts of LasAnod city.
Botaan said that Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
and bully boyz led by an official named Abdi Madobe attacked Somaliland military bases from 3 directions early in the morning and they were repelled.
Continuing, he added that the people of Lasanod did not invade Somaliland but Puntland and bully boyz are the ones who want to destabilize the region and capture new territory.
"The people of Lasanod lived peacefully for 15 years under Somaliland control," said Faisal, warning Puntland and the Somali government of the consequences of their meddling.
