ABC News Sends Heads Rolling as Part of Disney's 7,000 Layoffs
[BREITBART] ABC News is laying off dozens of employees, including some of its highest-ranking executives, as part of the Walt Disney Co.’s ongoing round of layoffs that will see 7,000 employees depart the company.
The poor darlings worked hard to accomplish this outcome.
In all, ABC News is expected to lay off 50 individuals—including an executive producer close to Good Morning, America co-anchor and former Clinton administration official George Stephanopoulos—according to a Variety report.

Other executives getting pink-slipped include the head of ABC News’ investigative unit, the network’s Los Angeles bureau chief, and the network’s chief spokesperson.

"While these actions are never easy, they are a necessary step to ensure we’re on solid footing for the years ahead as we chart a sustainable, growth-oriented path forward for the entire organization," ABC News President Kim Godwin (pictured) reportedly said in an internal memo.

Disney is laying off 7,000 employees across its numerous media properties as part of an effort to rebound from a disastrous 2022 that saw the company’s stock plunge 44 percent and its profitability take a surprising hit, resulting in the firing of CEO Bob Chapek.

#2 ...I am hoping that the Disney employees - and for the record, I've been shiatcanned enough times to truly feel sorry for anyone losing their jobs like this - take the same route that the newly laid-off NPR employees are taking: demand that non-LGBTQPOC employees be laid off FIRST.

Schadenfreude: it's what's for breakfast.

#3 Don't know how many of the laid off Disney employees were in Florida, but the company was only about 1% of the Florida workforce at its peak. In Florida, Walmart employs 108,000 people. Disney employs 80,000.

#4 Wal-Mart surely is spread out all over the state. I suspect that isn't the case with Disney.

I wonder how Euro Disney is doing in France.

No matter. I would be ecstatic to see DIS stock price drop to as close to zero as possible.

#5 Disney is the major employer in deep blue Whorelando. And the support industries there employ many more.

Kill it. Just like the left has tried to do with "Operation Choke Point."

Play their game. By their rules. That's the only way.

#6 Mission Accomplished, right?

You may have lost your job, but a multi-millionaire executive got 15 seconds of twitter fame. Totally worth it.

Think of it as a second chance at college, where you can learn to code.

#7 Maybe they will sell off their classic movie brands to an entity who respects the art.

#8 Libs are always trying to pass ex post facto laws.

Taste of their own medicine: Make all Disney classics public owned.
