LasAnod battle rages on for the 15th day in a row

[ShabelleMedia] For the 15th day in a row, a fierce battle between the Somaliland Army and the community fighters continues in Lasanood, the capital of the Sool region.
"There is no Dana. There is only Sool"
According to the reports, there is a heavy bombardment by the Somaliland forces targeting some neighborhoods of the city, including residential buildings, hospitals and mosques.

The ongoing fighting and shelling have caused deaths, injuries, displacement and destruction in Lasanod City which has been in chaos for months.

The international partners urged the warring parties to silence the guns and come to the negotiating table to find a lasting solution to the conflict in the city of Lasanod.

The ongoing festivities have forced more than 185,000 people to flee their homes in a contested border town, the UN’s emergency response agency said on Sunday.

At least 100 people have been confirmed dead and hundreds maimed in days of festivities, according to the hospital sources and residents, who spoke to Radio Shabelle.

Somaliland and Puntland
