Department of Energy REFUSES to fire nonbinary energy official Sam Brinton despite SECOND airport luggage scandal and growing Republican fury

Sam Brinton has now been accused of stealing suitcases at two airports

The first incident was in September in Minneapolis en route to a conference

The second was in Las Vegas; a warrant for that incident has been filed

Brinton is yet to comment and they are due in court in Minnesota on Dec 19

Republicans say Brinton should be fired and their clearance revoked

The Dept. of Energy has placed Brinton on leave but has not fired them, and has not confirmed whether they are still being paid

#1 As disgusting as this POS is, it deserves it’s day in court as so far it’s only been charged. DOE is right to avoid any unlawful

termination lawsuits.
However, after it’s been found guilty, swift dismissal must follow. But i expect the Bidet regime will do the wrong thing and promote the thing. Ambassador to San Francisco, perhaps?

#9 I cannot imagine that this POS still has an active Clearance given pending felony charges. So, aside from administrivia, what does it do at work? A felony conviction should end it's federal employment opportunities, but the power of the GHEY coalition in the Puppet Show is vast, far beyond pesky things like law and standards!
