Mexican mayor's daughter, 28, busted with $248,531 wrapped around her waist and two guns she tried to smuggle across the border in Texas - she says her arrest was politically motivated

Yeishi Moriya was arrested at the Juárez-Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas, while trying to drive into Mexico with $248,531 and two handguns

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents searched the 28-year-old and found the money and one of the guns under her bodysuit

CBP agents located the other weapon hidden in the vehicle

Moriya was turned over to the Webb County Sheriff's Office and charged with money laundering

She is the daughter of Artemio Moriya, who is the mayor of the Michoacán municipality of Tacámbaro
