Jamaal Bowman: There will be 'civil war' if GOP wins in midterms

of the Bronx went on MSNBC and issued a series of dire warnings about what will happen next year if Republicans retake control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections. He didn’t wind up mentioning swarms of locusts darkening the skies and wiping out all of the crops, but it was pretty close to that level. He warned of "far-right extremists and white nationalists" who are plotting a "civil war" or something. He further cautioned that these same extremists would be "emboldened" to take control of the Senate, the White House, and state-level offices around the country. I can only assume the rivers will all turn to blood shortly after that. (NY Post)
Progressive Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman warned of a stark outcome if Republicans take back power in the November midterm elections — one that would "embolden" far-right extremists and white nationalists who he claims "have been pushing" for "civil war."

During a Saturday interview with MSNBC’s "The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross," the Bronx-Westchester member of the congressional "Squad" led by socialist darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed Republicans will quickly take action to halt Democratic progress in the investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, saying the House select committee’s findings would be "completely suppressed."

Bowman also claimed the GOP would "impeach President Biden as quickly as possible and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward."

So let me see if we’ve got this straight. If the Republicans actually lose the midterm elections, they have some sort of plan in place to "steal" the election by passing election security laws at the state level. And that could lead to civil war. But if the GOP actually wins the election, they will be "emboldened" to advance their plans for a civil war. So what you’re saying is... what? There’s going to be a civil war no matter how it comes out so there’s no point in holding the elections?

Bowman also warned that Republicans would put an end to the ridiculous January 6 Committee hearings. That’s probably true, actually, but what that has to do with a potential civil war is beyond me. If anything, it would probably give some of the members additional time to do something vaguely productive. Of course, a few members of the committee likely will be looking for other employment next January anyway. I won’t call anyone out specifically, but one of their names might rhyme with Whiz Rainy.

What I find really interesting is Bowman’s warning that if the GOP takes back control of either chamber of Congress they would be "emboldened" to try to take back the White House and many state-level offices. So he’s warning people that if the Republicans win one election, they might dare to... try to win other elections later? Saints preserve us! They wouldn’t dare to try that, would they?

Impeachment? Most likely. There are plenty of grounds for it. There has to be a sufficient shift of power to bring about impeachment and conviction.

Ending the current Pelosi scripted Hollywood Soviet-style show trial? This would be a good thing.

#14 The Democrats are planning to provoke the living shit out of Americans so we will rise up and they can use the power of the anti-terrorism laws to crush us. But if we get power, we'll use these laws on them instead to prevent a civil war and they're terrified of it.

They're playing the big game. Permanent Democrat majority is the phrase they use. Can't do that if Republicans win in November. Thus any outcome like this is illegitimate and anti-democratic by definition.
