Three astronauts dock to complete construction of China's OWN 'heavenly palace' space station after United States excluded them from the ISS in 2011

China has poured billions into its military-run space programme in recent years

It aims to launch a manned mission to the lunar surface by the end of the decade

Beijing built its own orbital habitat after Chinese astronauts were banned from the International Space Station in 2011

The ISS was built by five space agencies: NASA (United States), Roscosmos (Russia), JAXA (Japan), ESA (Europe), and CSA (Canada). The reason given in 2011 for barring China was that China’s space program was too new to add anything useful, but subsequent actions made it clear distrust was the real problem.

#1 ISS was built by many and paid for by few.
We should have let the Chinese in if they took on the bulk of funding.
