Brave 14-year-old girl arms herself with steak knives, scares away intruder who broke into her home where she was alone with her 12-year-old sister: Career criminal was out on bail at the time

On Friday morning, police say Joseph Ridge, 58, broke into the Middleborough, Massachusetts home of Avery Cormie, 14, and her 12-year-old sister while they were home alone

Avery was awoken by Ridge and she bravely confronted him with two steak knives

The terrified teen called 911, asking the dispatcher if she can 'call her parents really fast,' but she remained on the line

As Ridge fled Avery recorded his truck which Middleborough police said led to his arrest

Ridge was apprehended shortly after and charged with aggravated breaking and entering during the day, trespassing and disorderly conduct

For repeat offenders out on parole and/or on bail awaiting conviction. I could support Ankle GPS trackers for the duration of the parole or until the court hearing.

Plus, a law making the removal of an Ankle GPS tracker by anyone other than a court appointed official a felony.

#6 The Daily Mail calls for the arrest of the children for possession of a dangerous weapon, and their parents for allowing minors easy access to such weapons. Leave it to Americans to think they need more than one kind of knife, and for turning children into unnatural murderers without any regard to the Senior community and their needs.
