Elizabeth Warren Calls for U.S. to Launch Central Bank Digital Currency

[Breitbart] Appearing Thursday on NBC News, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) called for the United States government to create a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), which some longtime crypto proponents warn could be used to surveil citizens.

A transcript is as follows:

CHUCK TODD: Are you there [on creating a Central Bank Digital Currency]?

SEN. ELIZABETH WARREN: Oh, for a Central Bank Digital Currency? Yes. I think it’s time for us to move in that direction.

TODD: Whenever you look at every piece of paper currency we issue, not with coins, but paper, has its own identity. So essentially, we’re prepared for the blockchain now. Should that be how we build this?

SEN. WARREN: I think of it was what’s the problem we’re trying to solve and if the problem you’re trying to solve is fast, almost frictionless ability to send money across country and the world, a Central Bank Digital Currency does that. You don’t need a stablecoin for that.

#1 The dollar conversion will be painful at first, that is if you have any remaining dollars to convert. It really is for the greater global good. In this particular case, a more equitable solution really does justify the means. You'll see.

Once digital, then DC can turn ON or OFF a person's wealth/income... based on whatever issues they decide or deem.

Some have asked ...What if we went back to a Gold Standard backed dollar, plus other such rare metals?

At the last audit, the US Treasury claimed 261,498,926.241 Troy OZ of Gold in its vaults.
Gold, which was selling for about $1,928.00 per troy oz at COB yesterday.

If the USA went back to a Gold Standard?
The US dollar would be backed by only about $504.1 +/- Billion in Gold Reserves.

Notes:
DC has a purposed Federal budget of about 10 times that for 2023.
DC has run up a national debt of about 60 times our Gold worth and 5 times the annual collected tax revenues.

#7 The Godverment in charge of your assets and you say what can go wrong? OK, my sister's gay friend (who has a black partner) owns several VRBOs as his livelihood. The max occupancy on the posting is 4 people. VRBO rents it and 10 people check in which the owner sees this on the outside video and calls the renter, who lies about it. He tells them to leave. They eventually do, but immediately complain to VRBO that they were told to leave because they are black. VRBO shuts down all of his account pending an investigation. How does one prove they are not racist. It took weeks to resolve. Thousands of dollars lost.
Do you really believe this can't happen with the leftists in Washington if they had the keys to your assets? Look what the little tyrant in Canada did to protesters.
