Energy Secretary Granholm laughs off notion of boosting US oil production: 'That is hilarious'

laughed off the notion of encouraging more domestic oil production to blunt high gasoline prices and said matters are exclusively in OPEC's hands.

"That is hilarious," Granholm responded while laughing to Bloomberg Surveillance host Tom Keene's question about the "Granholm plan" to increase oil production in America.

"Would that I had the magic wand on this," Granholm said. "As you know, of course, oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC."

Granholm brought up OPEC's and its allies' recent decision not to stray from its plan to increase production by 400,000 barrels per day next month despite the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft

The buffoonish current Secretary of State who presided over our country's most appalling foreign-policy debacle in at least 60 years, the guitar-playing idiot who is more concerned with hanging rainbow flags at our embassies than with any threat to our nation's security, is a Harvard grad. His top deputy has an advanced degree from Yale.

The head of Homeland Security has done more in his ten short months to create insecurity in the homeland than any foreign or domestic enemy by presiding over the complete collapse of our southern border. This incompetent is a partner at one of the nation's top BigLaw firms and is a graduate of our top "public ivy" institution.

The Transportation Secretary has presided over the collapse of American shipping and logistics and lacks even the faintest notion of how to resurrect them. He's another Harvard grad and a Rhodes scholar.

The current Energy Secretary thinks US oil and gas production has no connection to the price of West Texas crude. She's another Harvard Law and UC Berkeley grad.

And fully one-third of the aides to Pres. Pervert Magoo and his rancid skank of a VP are from either Harvard or Yale. The most incompetent administration in the modern era is stocked with graduates of our most prestigious schools.

These moronic clowns are universally scorned by the leaders of the nation's and the industries they're supposed to influence. They are making our nation the world's laughingstock. We have never seen such incompetence and destruction across every dimension of governance -- security, foreign policy, defense, law enforcement, the economy, energy production, the border and immigration, even our ports and supply chain.

Literally EVERYTHING these assholes touch has gone to hell.

What on earth have we done to deserve this scourge?

The solution to high prices is called increasing domestic supply, and it was easily achieved through the normal operations of the oil marketplace that gives huge incentives to clever E&P company leaders to apply fracking and other cutting-edge extraction technologies to get at tight oil lodged in shake.

If this b!tch had even an ounce of intellectual horsepower she'd have known the above. A Texas twelve year-old knows more about oil & gas than this dimpled ditz.

#9 Well, given the supply chain issues and a very justifiable fear of rushing headlong into another bust cycle, the O&G industry is expanding it's production quite slowly. I think people in it are realizing that slow and steady keeps us all employed and we like having jobs. So we'll wait out sleepy joe and his blow up doll, and see what the future brings.
