The extreme logistics alone make a long term defense (6+ months) or a limited Ground war impossible to win.

Besides I don't care who is in the White House.

$20++ Trillion in debt?

Plus with country that's military is close to 3x's it size.

A country that makes most of what we buy and is the sole source, or the largest producer of most USA medications and medical supplies.

For the memory leaked:
The setup for Kuwait (Desert Shield) was 6mos.
Repelling Iraq (Desert Storm) was 6 weeks of airstrikes and one week of ground advance.

All from the 'safe' haven of Saudi Arabia.
I don't see it happening with a coalition of Philippines, Japan, Vietnam and South Korea.
