U.S. Christian Missionaries Kidnapped in Haiti: 17 Adults and Children Taken

[Breitbart] A group of 17 Christian missionaries including children was kidnapped late Saturday by an armed gang near Haiti’s Port-au-Prince, a voice message sent to various religious missions by an organization with direct knowledge of the incident has claimed.

The religious aid workers were on their way home from building an orphanage when they were snatched off their transportation by an armed gang, according to a message from Ohio-based Christian Aid Ministries.

"This is a special prayer alert," the one-minute message said, according to AP. "Pray that the gang members would come to repentance."

The message says the mission’s field director is working with the U.S. Embassy, and the field director’s family and one other unidentified man stayed at the ministry’s base while everyone else visited the orphanage.

#9 Generally they work with existing groups.

A short-term missionary isn't going to connect well enough for effective preaching, but can help with specialized skills, and with proof that "other people care." Folks on the ground say that matters a lot.

I've never been to Haiti, but I know some who have, and our church provides support for a local school.

#11 It’s a regular thing for church missionary societies to send groups of volunteers abroad to build medical clinics and orphanages, while others sponsor staffing and running the things afterward. I have a girlfriend who goes somewhere every year with her church to build clinics, by way of saying thanks for the privilege of being a nurse in a modern facility at home the rest of the time.

#12 How little does this generation know about the was once the foundation of society in the U.S..

The Great Commission was a commandment Christ gave to Christians after He was brutally beaten, crucified and then pierced in the heart by a Roman spear. Three days later He was walking around as if nothing had happened. He had conquered death.

He then gave Christians the command to "go unto ALL NATIONS" to bring the world the good news, an effort called "The Great Commission".

While you say "Shocking! Well Toto, where did you think you were going, Zermatt, Grindelwald, Saint-Tropez ?" the organization these Missionaries belong to are asking their captors to turn to Christ just as the Missionaries were doing. And of course commenters bring up "money" the organization has "from US aid to Haiti". That money went into Hillary's pocket long ago. That money came from Christians across this once great nation who continue to support God's work financially.

And don't think you are secure from the unusually brutal Haitian criminal savage. They are now pouring across the U.S. border into your neighborhood at this very moment with many many thousands more on their way.

Why is that happening? Is it really Biden's fault? No. Of course not. It is God's Judgments against our now Godless nation. He raises ALL LEADERS based on His approval or disapproval of the people of that nation. They get who they deserve so Biden is his decision for the U.S..
