All government employees will get paid, money transfer allowed: Taliban
I guess all the opium money they collected now has a better purpose.
[KhaamaPress] Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said that they have partly or/and completely paid salaries of five ministries namely education, higher education, public health, finance, and the central bank.

The officials said that they are working to pay on a mechanism based on which they will pay the salaries of all the babus government employees.

Speaking in a presser in Kabul on Wednesday, September 29 deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salaam Hanafi said that they have established an exclusive commission to address the looming humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Abdul Salaam Hanafi said that the commission has allowed all the private banks in Afghanistan to conduct money transfers in order for the traders to access their money and import food ingredients and medicine.

"We have created this exclusive commission so that we address the ongoing economic problem, a spike in prices, and preparation for the upcoming winter season." Said Hanafi.

The deputy Prime Minister said that they will leave the customs of the country 24-hour open and will fight against the mafia that does not allow imports into Afghanistan.

Abdul Salaam Hanafi also called on the US to release the assets of Afghanistan because the money belongs to the people of Afghanistan not to any government.

Cash Withdrawal Limits Problematic for Customers

[ToloNews] Dozens of citizens on Tuesday criticized restrictions on bank withdrawals that were imposed by Afghanistan's Central Bank.

Many of those who spoke to TOLOnews have come from across the country to Kabul and said they have not been able to withdraw even 20,000 Afs, despite waiting in lines for hours and even days.

Mahdi Behzad came from Bamiyan
...a place in Afghanistan that used to have some historically interesting statues of the Buddha carved into a mountainside. Then the holy men showed up and now all they have is some big holes...
province to withdraw his money from the bank.

He spent approximately 6,000 Afs to get 20,000 Afs from the bank.

"You have to wait for three days to withdraw 20,000 Afs. People will not trust the banks if the banks continue like this," Mahdi said.

"People are coming at 1:00 AM to take turns and stand in line. An old person cannot receive money," said Kabul resident Nazer Jaafari.

"The government has to solve people’s problems. Women are standing in line and are being insulted, this is not by an Islamic government," Hafiza said.

Some employees who withdrew their salaries are facing the same problem.

"I came to take my salary but it is so crowded here. Problems are so big," said Mohammad Zarif.

At the same time, the Ministry of Culture and Information said the process of trading and withdrawing money will normalize very soon.

"This is a complex problem. We ask the people to be patient," said Jawad Sargar, a member of the cultural commission at the ministry.

Afghanistan's Central Bank, or DBA, issued an order restricting bank withdrawals to 20.000 Afs ($200) for each customer per week.
