  • One man was shot in the chest and one in the arm, DC police have confirmed

  • Their condition was unclear Thursday night; they were conscious at the scene

  • People dining at restaurants in the lively area were seen running from gunshots

  • Surveillance camera footage released by police showed two people running

  • They both jump into a black Honda Civic that is waiting for them then speed off
