41 captives rescued, many al-Qaeda affiliates killed by ANDSF

According to Aman 41 people including 19 Afghan National Defense and Security Force members and 22 captive civilians were released from the Taliban jail.
The deputy front man for MoD added that seven Talibs were also killed and some of their weapons and ammunition were also destroyed during the operation.
The majority of the released prisoners were civilians, Aman added.

MoD stated that 13 al-Qaeda affiliates for the Indian subcontinent were killed in Helman province. MoD added that on Monday afternoon Afghan Air Force targeted Taliban and al-Qaeda hideouts in Popalzu area of Khansheen district in Helmand province. MoD further mentioned that Haji Ulfat, a key Taliban member was also maimed during the AAF air raids. The killed "terrorists" were reportedly skilled bomb makers and were responsible for training the Death Eaters on the utilization process of night vision goggles.
This comes as six people were maimed in separate blasts in the Qarabagh district of Kabul province on Tuesday morning. Local officials told the media that the first incident occurred at around 8:00 am local time in Pashtun-infested Logariha village of the district in which three military personnel were maimed, sequentially the second explosion took place in the same area minutes after the initial blast. The second explosion left three civilians including children maimed. No group or individual grabbed credit for the attack.
