Chicago is 29 percent black, 33 percent non-Hispanic white, 18 percent white Hispanic, 9 percent other Hispanic, and 7 percent Asian. Since differences between white Hispanic and non-Hispanic are artificial, that makes a white population of 51 percent. Add in Asian, which performs whiter than white (and is hated by the black segment, as we've seen lately) and you've got a solid 58 percent. Heronner da Mare sez people of the same color share the same beliefs -- I don't think you're allowed to argue that point, not even among folk of identical hue -- that means Chi should be solidly white.
I once spent a week in the Caymans, an experience I highly recommend. The population is 20 percent white, 20 percent black, and 40 percent mixed, the remainder made up of expats who don't count, regardless of color. The Caymans has no history of slavery. Its tradition is fishing and (arrr!) pirates. Cayman Islanders of all flavors, from what I saw, like each other a lot more than Americans like each other.
