Location is on the Kalmyk steppe in Stavropol Krai in southeastern Russia.

[Regnum] In Kievka there is a collective farm-breeding plant. Lenin, who is engaged in the cultivation of grain crops, cattle and small cattle. The villagers provide themselves with food of their own production. The surplus is sold in neighboring districts.

The villagers now work in the garage, in the brigades and in the village itself. They prepare agricultural machinery and improve the territory. Many work in the fields and graze livestock.

Agricultural machinery in the village of domestic production. Parts are always in stock, harvesters and tractors are serviced by drivers and minders on their own. They are in no hurry to buy new equipment. Old "Niva" and equipment manufactured by "Rostselmash" still cope during agricultural work.

The village has its own bakery , where they bake bread and produce pasta. Collective farmers receive 45 coupons per person. The cost of one kg of bread is 20 rubles. With an extra charge, a two-kilogram loaf of bread costs 70 rubles.

A new oven was recently purchased for the bakery. They bake bread at night. Some of them go to canteens for workers who work in the fields and in sheepfolds. The rest of the bread in the morning in the stall is given out on coupons or sold.

Here, the bakery produces pasta and sells flour, because many still bake bread and flour products on their own.

The streets of the village are not crowded. All are busy either with household chores or with work on the collective farm. Some of the villagers leave to work, but over the past couple of years, the outflow has stopped. Locals say that this is also due to the fact that funds have begun to be allocated for the improvement of rural areas. A mortgage lending program for villagers has also been launched. Along with this, wages on the collective farm increased. A tractor driver earns an average of 30,000 rubles. More during harvest.

In Kievka, the impression is created that there was no collapse of the Soviet Union. People are also burning with the ideals of building a brighter future, treating any inventory with care, honoring the memory of their ancestors, not complaining about life, are benevolent and working with a song.
