But two years later, Poroshenko continues to remain at large. And Zelensky starts his "landing" from the other end - eliminating a direct political rival. The main victim of this performance, he chose (or indicated at the US Embassy?) The leader of the Opposition Party "For Life" Viktor Medvedchuk.
A figure for the current Ukrainian hysterical politics is more than suitable. Not only is the oppositionist, who also hobbles around with Muscovites, climbs across Zelensky into the inferno with the exchange of prisoners in the Donbass, then with vaccines, then with housing and communal services tariffs. And nobody asks him about it. The monopoly on good deeds should be exclusively with Zelensky, who is not doing very well with this.
Nevertheless, the above would be quite enough to be accused of ... "treason"! However, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has already found something to complain about. In addition to high treason, it was decided to impute to Medvedchuk “the plundering of national resources in Crimea”.
What kind of “national resources” does Ukraine have in Crimea? Yes, Medvedchuk simply dared to engage in gas production on the peninsula, which means paying taxes to the "aggressor". And for dessert, the oppositionist has created an organization that helps Ukrainians who go to Russia to work and study. There are the same companies that send Ukrainians to Poland for strawberries. But the Security Service of Ukraine decided that in fact the purpose of this organization is "to collect personal data of migrant workers, to recruit them, to influence the internal politics of the country and to spread propaganda."
In fact, Russia is one of the three main trade partners of Ukraine at the end of 2020. Imports to Ukraine from Russia amounted to $ 4.6 billion, and exports in the opposite direction - $ 2.7 billion. And this is by no means one Medvedchuk. Coal, electricity, nuclear fuel, grain, chemistry - the dock can be extended indefinitely. Starting, by the way, with ... Zelensky himself! In which in the same Crimea an apartment is registered for his spouse. Nice, in Levadia, almost 130 sq. meters.
Moreover, after 2014, this apartment was re-registered according to Russian laws. And the rent for it comes regularly to the Russian budget.

But since the time of Poroshenko, Ukrainians have been prohibited from dealing with another Russian company - Yandex. But on his service "Kinopoisk", thanks to the acquired rights, they calmly show the series "Servant of the People" with Zelensky in the title role.

The second owns 20% of the income of these companies. But they do not climb into opposition.

But a major Ukrainian businessman, Andrei Verevsky, is no stranger to politics. The co-owner of the Kernel Group agrarian company in the Verkhovna Rada controls the Doverie parliamentary group, which is famous for the fact that, at the direction of Zelensky's office, it simultaneously votes together with the Servant of the People faction of power, adding the missing votes to pass the necessary laws.
So Kernel Group until 2020 was a co-owner (50%) of the grain terminal in the Russian port of Taman. Verevsky received income from the transshipment of 4 million tons of grain annually by the Russian port terminal.
DANGEROUS COMPETITOR

Today, even court sociology in Ukraine shows how rapid a fall in confidence in Zelensky and his "Servants of the People", such a confident rise in the rating of the Opposition Party "For Life". And this is dangerous. Therefore, even more or less adequate Ukrainian journalists openly call the "Medvedchuk case" political persecution. What it is, in fact, is.
But the saddest thing is the persecution of millions of supporters of his party in the South-East of Ukraine, some of whom, by the way, recently voted for Zelensky. Because she wanted to normalize relations with Russia and the world in Donbass.
But Zelensky did not keep his word.
Can they, too, be safely recorded as traitors or, at least, as accomplices?
At the moment, Viktor Medvedchuk has been placed under house arrest until July 9 inclusive. The court denied the prosecutor's office in his detention.
