Pakistan is smuggling weapons and drugs into India: Punjab CM Amarinder Singh alerts Centre

Cheif Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has cautioned about Pakistain's plan to push illegal drugs and weapons into India amid the farmers' protest to cause a disturbance in the border state and demanded an investigation into the matter.

According to reports, the Punjab CM has learnt from the security forces that more illegal drugs and weapons are being pushed into India from across the border.

The chief minister stated that he has been warning the Central government for a long time that "Pakistain is trying to infiltrate". He further warned the authorities saying that Pakistain has sleeper cells which they can activate and "a disturbed Punjab suits Pakistain's policy".

"I have a hostile country on my western border. On the north of us, we have China. These two countries are going to collude. About 20 per cent of the Indian army belongs to this area," Punjab CM told news hounds.

He also said that Pakistain has been sending weapons through drones and is also trying to cause infiltration. There has been a spurt in "drone delivery" since the farmers' agitation started and "weapons, money, and heroine" have been coming in, he added.

Drones from Pakistan have been delivering weapons to Kashmir as well. Someone at the ISI must have got a large shipment of the things, and is trying to use them up.

Either those punjabis are having the time of their lives right now, or the editors at OneIndia are just as mediocre in their quality control as any other Indian media house these days. I think it's the latter.

Also, they've always been smuggling into Punjab. It's the drug and trafficking networks protected by this Amarinder guy's politics that allow for this intrusion. He's only worried now that the jiadis and Khalistanis will get overly empowered, delivering a Leftist bastion into Right wing hands in mass panic.

The center does not interfere in any Leftist state [our blue states] because it wants things to go to hell so it can say 'we told you so' to the citizen, leveraging their dissatisfaction into political victory. But just like your GOP prudes and prunes, they too don't have the balls for all-out war on terror or crime à la Duterte.

Militarizing the border and equipping soldiers with the right gear can solve all of this. But this is a banana republic trying to posture as a progressive liberal socialist democracy, just to get investors to pour money into it. And the citizen to keep trying to add to it's GNP without asking for where the revenue goes.

The real reason I posted the article. There was a story or two from Kashmir during the interregnum about drone-delivered weapons there, and it’s interesting to see that the ISI is not restricting this method to just one state.
