To recap: Nick Sandman was the polite, self-controlled Catholic schoolboy who has thus far settled defamation cases against CNN and the Washington Post on the list of fifty individuals and media organizations warned by Sandmann lawyer L. Lin Wood that they could be sued for falsely accusing, doxxing, and threatening the lad in response to a misleadingly edited video of his encounter with Native American “elder” Nathan Phillips. In the meantime, young Nick has interned for Senator Mitch McConnell (R, KY), started his freshman year at Kentucky’s Transylvania University, and spoken at this year’s Republican National Convention.

As I reread that just now, I was reminded of the demeanor of a very good lawyer letting you talk while he waits for you to say something he can pounce on. His apprenticeship with Senator McConnell and Mr. L. Lin Wood, esq. should yield very interesting results.
