U.S Army ‘Prudent Planning’ For Full Withdrawal by Spring
[KhaamaPress] The Hill Reports, Pentagon has started planning to have zero U.S. troops in Afghanistan by May 2021, no full orders have yet been given to withdrawal.

"I’d like to make it clear that (Defense Secretary Mark Esper) has not issued orders to reduce military personnel below this 4,000 to 5,000 level in Afghanistan, although we are conducting prudent planning to withdraw to zero service members by May 2021 if conditions warrant, per the U.S.-Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
agreement," David Helvey, the official performing the duties of assistant secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific security affairs, told the House Oversight Committee’s national security subcommittee at a hearing.

The U.S is reportedly expected to draw down American troops stationed in Afghanistan to 4500 by November of this year.

Reports show President trump touting U.S drawdowns in the region as part of the campaign and a promise fulfilled to put an end to America’s "endless war".

#2 We're not leaving Afghanistan. Not now, not ever. We're there for 50 years, at least. It has nothing to do with the Taliban or Kabul. From this imperial outpost we can attack and destroy China's "Belt & Road" initiative, the CIA can incite China's Uighur population to rise up and overthrow the CPC, and we are right next to Pakistan's nuclear weapons so we can stage a land invasion of them if the situation warrants it. But hey, don't believe me, here it is:

#4 /\ Look at a map first. To get to Afghanistan you have to fly over Iran (an enemy), Russia (a "frenemy" at best) or Pakistan (China's ally against India). So this "Great Strategy" starts with the advance bases stranded beyond a secure logistical tether (!!). See Lord Elphinstone and the 1842 Retreat From Kabul and wonder if anyone reads history.

Declare Victory and let us just go home.

#5 We have spent a fortune in Baksheesh to the Paks for the privilege of crossing their land with a road link to Afghanistan. There are better ways to skin the cat.

"Not having a plan is always a dumb plan."

Usually you're better off if your opponents don't know what your plan is.
