A huge crowd of young revelers packed Washington Square Park to party on Friday and Saturday night

Few were wearing masks and social distancing was disregarded despite the coronavirus pandemic

The aftermath was laid bare on Sunday morning as photos showed trash covering the park

Park staff got to work cleaning up mountains of alcohol containers and discarded fast food wrappers

The images are sure to enrage Gov Andrew Cuomo, who slammed New York University and the NYPD for failing to crack down on similarly crowded festivities over Labor Day weekend
