New Jersey and Connecticut ’burbs are seeing the same. Heck, brokers all the way out in North Fork say business is booming — because more and more workers figure a long commute is no longer an issue, as they’ll work from home most of the time.
The exodus will tank city revenues, but de Blasio’s stuck on his old, old tune: "Help me tax the wealthy. Help me redistribute wealth," he told WNYC’s Brian Lehrer last week.
So much for his promises to be the mayor for all New Yorkers: He’d rather drive the city down than face reality.
