#1 Do we have any way to deploy bouys with nets hanging between them so as to give away a sub following behind one of ours? Such a net might give away presence (bouys would suddenly move as the net is hit) but could also be used to attach things to the following subs hull forcing htem to slow and remove. Or is that sort of thing just fantasy...

#2 It's a really good idea. Maybe lose the nets and just make the buoys very passive detect sensitive and able to maneuver. Once such a buoy attached or even detected a sub nearby, it could phone home or even call bigger friends that are in the vicinity.
