Lebanese President says it's 'impossible' that Hezbollah caused explosion at Beirut Port
"It'a elementary, my dear LeGume," said Inspector Camembert. "If you dismiss the most likely culprit, the next most likely culprit is your man!"
"Inspector! How do you do it?"

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Lebanese President, Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...
, ruled out on Monday that the Beirut Port explosion was caused by a warehouse filled with Hezbollah’s weapons.

President Aoun indicated in an interview with the Italian "Corriere della Sera", as reported by Rooters, that the investigation will include all possibilities despite his assurance that the earth-shattering kaboom was not caused by a weapons warehouse belonging to Hezbollah.

The Lebanese President said that Hezbollah was not storing weapons at the port, which was indicated by Sayyed His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah
...The satrap of the Medes and the Persians in Leb...
, Secretary-General of Hezbollah, earlier this month.

In response to the newspaper’s question about the matter, Aoun stressed, "It is impossible, but serious events such as this one sharpen the spirit and the imagination."

President Aoun confirmed that investigations are underway to fin out whether the earth-shattering kaboom was a result of negligence, an accident, or external interference.

"Although it seems like an accident, I want to avoid accusing me of not hearing all the voices," he explained.

"A lot of people talked about seeing planes in the sky over the harbor just before the earth-shattering kaboom," the Lebanese {resident said, "and although this conversation is not very reliable, it must be heard."

Thus far, the Lebanese authorities have yet to come to a conclusion regarding the source of the earth-shattering kaboom.

 File under: Hezbollah

#1 Some sources say that the area where the various explosions took place was under the control of Hezbollah.
Naturally that organization maintained a large supply of harmless fireworks, not weapons there. These non-weapons did, however explode and did so in such a manner as to ignite the harmless fertilizer.
Of course it is impossible that those non-weapons came from an Iranian chartered ship delivering missiles and other weapons to Hezbollah
Aoun is perfectly right in saying that it is difficult to believe that Hezbollah blew up it own weapons and explosives on purpose, if that was his meaning.

Or something like that.
