Di Maio: Terrorists among migrants fleeing Libya

to escape the war in Libya, Italia’s Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio stated on Thursday.

"The conflict in Libya, which I remind you is close to Italia’s coasts, result in ~~migrants~~ colonists fleeing the war and seeking shelter elsewhere. And very often turbans as well are hiding among these people who are fleeing," Di Maio wrote in post via Facebook.

"Working intensely to stop the war in Libya means therefore stabilizing the region, but at the same time securing our country, our coasts, our citizens," the top Italian diplomat added.

Di Maio went on to write that following his meeting with Tripoli

-based premier Fayez al-Sarraj, the latter presented him with a proposal to change the 2017 Italia-Libya agreement on migrant.
