Grenell smokes Eric Swalwell, calls his bluff on releasing transcripts of Flynn’s call to Russian ambassador
|
 [BIZPACREVIEW] The Senate voted along party lines Thursday to confirm Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, as President Trump’s director of National Intelligence. Ratcliffe will replace Richard Grenell, who has been the acting director — Grenell has held the post since February, while retaining his role as U.S. ambassador to Germany.
Unfortunately, for Democrats, Ratcliff is expected to maintain the same commitment to transparency as Grenell, who reinforced that stance in a Twitter dust-up with Rep. Eric "I Farted on National Television" Swalwell, D-Calif.
Swalwell, a failed Democratic presidential hopeful best known for appearing to loudly pass gas on live television, leveled baseless accusations that Grenell and Ratcliffe are protecting the president.

The exchange with Swalwell began after the politician replied to a tweet from Daily Beast editor-in-chief Noah Shachtman, stating that he trusts FBI Director Christopher Wray, who some suggest is missing in action, but not Grenell or Ratcliffe.
"They’re the ones with the shovels burying evidence to protect [Trump]," he added.
Grenell responded to the slight by reminding the Democratic politician that he was the one with a history of working to hide information he didn’t like, before insisting "transparency is now a must."
"I’m letting the public see more info," he said. "You are the one who worked to hide the information you didn’t like. You listened to multiple people in classified hearings say they had no evidence and yet go on TV and say the opposite. Transparency is now a must!"
