Ali Tekbali: Discussions on the Formation of a New Government are Underway
|
[ALMARSAD.CO] Member of the Defence and National Security Committee in the House of Representatives (HOR), Ali al-Tekbali, said that discussion are currently underway on the formation of a new government. He explained that the new government will take charge of running the country, and work on unifying state institutions and activating law enforcement and the judiciary, as well as supporting the army in removing any obstacles that stand in the way of establishing the state.
"We'll have new logos and slogans and shit!"
In a statement to Al Ittihad on Wednesday, Ali al-Tekbali said that the Libyan authorities are not concerned with the UN’s approval of the new government, noting that only the party with military control on the ground will be able to resolve the Libyan crisis.
The member of the HOR said that the Government of National Accord (GNA) was not a Libyan choice. He said that the UN imposed this government on the Libyan people, and that Fayez al-Sarraj’s government was not included in the constitutional declaration and was not the choice of the people.
