Two Chicago officers were restraining Ariel Roman at Grand station on Friday

Roman was apprehended after appearing to move between train carriages

Footage shows officers deploying stun guns and pepper spray to subdue him

Roman makes a break for it and is shot twice, in the buttocks and the abdomen

He had surgery for the bullet wounds but is no longer in critical condition

The police officers have been assigned desk duties pending an investigation
