Report: Pakistan ‘Did Not Restrict’ Afghan Taliban in Its Borders
[ToloNews] A US State Department report on terrorism for 2018 says that ISIS
...embracing their inner Islamic Brute...
and al-Qaeda and al-Qaeda affiliates remained active, but Afghanistan security forces ‐with NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
’s Resolute Support Mission‐"took aggressive action" against terrorist groups.

Continued from Page 2

It mentions that although al-Qaeda was seriously degraded globally after 2001, the group’s remnants continue to operate from remote locations in the region, including Afghanistan and Pakistain, which historically have been exploited as safe havens.

According to the report, al-Qaeda global network includes remnants of the group’s leadership in Afghanistan and Pakistain, as well as al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
h Front in Syria.

Afghanistan continued to experience aggressive and coordinated attacks by the regional ISIS branch, the Afghan Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
, and the Taliban-affiliated Haqqani Network, the report said.

It also mentions that ISIS, elements of al-Qaeda, and terrorist groups targeting Pakistain, such as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), continued to use the Afghanistan-Pakistain border region as a safe haven.

Regionally focused terrorist groups also remained a threat in 2018. For example, Pakistain-based Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
‐ which was responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks ‐ and Jaish-e-Mohammad
...literally Army of Mohammad, a Pak-based Deobandi terror group founded by Maulana Masood Azhar in 2000, after he split with the Harkat-ul-Mujaheddin. In 2002 the government of Pervez Musharraf banned the group, which changed its name to Khaddam ul-Islam and continued doing what it had been doing before without missing a beat...
(JeM) maintained the capability and intent to attack Indian and Afghan targets, according to the report.

According to the report, Pakistain ‐ which has often pledged to support the peace effort and counter-terrorism campaign with the Afghan government ‐ did not did not take sufficient action against externally focused groups such as Lashkar e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), which continued to operate, train, organize, and fundraise in that country.

It also mentions that the Pak government pledged support for political reconciliation between the Afghan government and the Taliban but did not restrict the Taliban or Haqqani network
...a branch of the Afghan Taliban, based in Pakistain. The network is a family business founded by the later Jalaluddin Haqqani...
from operating in Pakistain and threatening US and Afghan forces in Afghanistan.

The report mentions that Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
continued its terrorist-related activity in 2018, including support for Hizballah, Paleostinian terrorist groups in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, and various groups in Syria, Iraq, and throughout the Middle East.

It says that Iran used the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Qods Force (IRGC-QF) to provide support to terrorist organizations, provide cover for associated covert operations, and create instability in the region. Iran has acknowledged the involvement of the IRGC-QF in the conflicts in Iraq and Syria.

#1 'Did not restrict'?

I wrote out a rant, realized it would only insult your Virginia boys and girls and deleted it. With all the 'lurkers' and an agency that can't be trusted with a simple thing as standing up for their own CinC, it's best to be discreet.

I would put my 'BAH!' on record though.
