It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...

The Jamaat leader - Abul Mansur - was the ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Bakalia unit.
Confirming the arrest, Md Nejam Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bakalia cop shoppe told Dhaka Tribune that the Jamaat leader is accused in five sabotage cases filed with Bakalia cop shoppe.
The process to produce the arrestee before the court is underway, he added.
