[TheHill] Senate Republicans are taking the House impeachment proceedings against President Trump more seriously as damaging revelations against the president mount and the possibility of a quick dismissal of the charges shrinks.

Earlier this year, GOP senators pledged to quickly quash any articles of impeachment passed by the House. But as the Democrats compile more evidence that Trump withheld military assistance from Ukraine to pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, they are adopting a more sober tone.

While no Senate Republican has said the charges against Trump rise to the level of being an impeachable offense, many have expressed concern over the drip-drip of damaging revelations.

Meanwhile Lindsey Graham will step down Judiciary Committee Chair after 2020.

#4 Soetoroesque blatherings of what they hope to one day see. These communist foks are setting the stage for a massive rejection of the 2020 election outcome. If they can destroy the man or break his will to fight before the election, they will.

As VDH writes, their longer-term goal is to discourage future conservative presidential candidates (and conservative contituencies) by making the process so onerous and painful no one will wish to participate.

A single party system is the goal. Cities like Chicago, New York and states such as California are the desired outcomes. The individual candidate you vote for (if you sill bother to vote) will not matter. It is the party candidate, their party.

They are ruthless pieces of kak. Always have been.

I'm starting to look at almost any news story as a marketing campaign rather than a dispassionate set of facts. What are they trying to sell today? And why?

#8 The problem that I see with the 'damaging revelations' is that The Hill is giving full face value to the 'recent' testimony that's negative toward Trump (the supposed Mulvaney statement 'admitting' to a quid pro Joe) and one on Wednesday by John Sullivan whilst ignoring testimony to the contrary (NSC Official Tom Morrison, Who Listened In on Ukraine Call: Nothing I Heard Was Illegal or Suspicious).

Flippin' hacks, the whole lot of them.
