Democratic leaders, presidential hopefuls to address J Street conference
See? It’s not that they’re Jew haters, it’s just that they can’t abide the icky kind of juices who fight for their own survival.
[Jpost] J Street, the progressive Jewish group, opened its seventh conference Saturday at the US capital, where key Democratic leaders will address the US-Israel relationship. Some 3,800 people are expected to participate in the four-day long event, including 1,200 students, making a record attendance for the conference, according to the group.

Speaker of the House Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer

...Senator-for-life from New York, renowned for his love of standing in front of cameras. Schumer has been a professional politician since 1975, when disco was in flower, which is 43.89044222371156 years. Senate minority leader as of 2017...
will address the US-Israel relationship and the Trump administration’s policy in the Middle East.

Five Democratic presidential hopefuls are also scheduled to speak. "Pod Save the World" hosts Ben Rhodes and Tommy Vietor will interview the candidates about the US-Israel relationship, the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict and the future of American foreign policy.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar
Senatrix from Minnesota, candidate for the Dem presidential 2020 nomination. You can tell the kind of husband a boy will make by the way he treats his mother. You can tell the kind of leader a politician will make by the way he treats his staff. Klobuchar is reportedly overbearing, snide, and dictatorial with her people. She see this as merely getting the best from them. Her name spelled backward in the Russian alphabet would be "Rachubolk," which sounds pretty daggone suspicious...
will be the first to speak at the conference on Sunday night, followed by South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg
...the testicleless mayor of South Bend, Indiana, since 2012. Buttigieg graduated from Harvard College and, on a Rhodes Scholarship, from Pembroke College, Oxford. From 2007 to 2010, he worked at McKinsey and Company, a consulting firm. From 2009 to 2017 Buttigieg served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy Reserve, attaining the rank of lieutenant and deploying to Afghanistan in 2014. Buttigieg was first elected mayor of South Bend in 2011 and was reelected in 2015. During his second term, he announced he was gay. Buttigieg also campaigned for Indiana state treasurer in 2010 and for chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2017, losing both elections. He is running for the Dem nomination in 2020 on the theory that being mayor of a nondescript medium sized city is qualification to run the country...
, former Housing and Development secretary Julian Castro, Sen. Michael Bennet and Sen. Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being a socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
, all of whom will speak on Monday. No current politicians from the Republican Party were scheduled to speak at the conference.

A few leaders of the Israeli Left will attend the event as well. Former prime minister Ehud Barak and MK Nitzan Horowitz, head of the Democratic Union, will each give a speech on Monday. MK Ayman Odeh, leader of the Joint List, will speak on Monday as well. Saeb Erekat
...negotiated the Oslo Accords with Israel. He has been chief Paleostinian negotiator since 1995. He is currently negotiating with Israel to establish a de jure Paleostinian state...
, Paleostinian chief negotiator, will address the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict.

And while few Knesset members are said to attend, no Israeli officials will represent the government at the event. Israeli Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer is not planning to attend the event, even though, according to a J Street front man, he was formally invited to speak.

Since he was posted in Washington six years ago, Dermer has refused to meet with J Street representatives. The embassy in Washington declined to comment.
