US Representative Haaland (D-NM) calls Antifa Peaceful
Democratic Rep. Debra Haaland of New Mexico referred to antifa as a group of "peaceful protesters" who are simply trying to "safeguard their city" during a Saturday evening interview on CNN.

Haaland's comments came the same day that antifa and far-right protesters clashed in Portland, Oregon. The fighting led to 13 arrests in what was just the most recent incidents of violence between the two groups.

#1 And there's such a thing as "public money."
And the gummint does not spend, it "invests."
And confiscatory taxation-driven redistribution is superior to charity.
And the list goes on and on...

#4 Note - there is no functioning Republican party in NM. It rates below the Parent-Teacher associations for organization. Small population state, not enough car dealership owners.

#6 My daughter and her friends all say Antifa was only there to defend people and property from the Nazis. And Antifa people are local while the Nazis are invaders from elsewhere.

#7 New Mexico is beautiful country. Except: Albuquerque is Chicago in the desert. The nice people who live in straitened circumstances out in the sticks have been totally brainwashed to believe gummint checks are the only source of income. The best thing you can say is there are way fewer hipsters than in Colorado.

#8 So in the mid 2000's the California Carpetbaggers descended on Taos and Albuquerque (the Representatives district)... Figures.

#10 Steve Schiff (R) used to represent Albuquerque. Steve was probably one of the last post war representatives who were interested in representing their districts rather than getting power, money, and influence. Died of cancer. Special election followed and one of his staff Heather Wilson (R) won that and two regular elections following his passing even though the Donks tried desperately enough to play quick and lose in the election process. Wilson lost her reelection bid when she backed Bush's pre-Obama prescription plan which was seen, as it turned out, a slippery slope.
