Desperate migrant men are 'attempting to buy children off destitute Mexican mothers for $350 to speed up their asylum process at the border'

[MAIL] Portillo Cruz, whose sons are aged eight and 10, said that no offers were made to her but she fears the requests could very possibly turn into kidnappings if the mothers don't accept the terms.

'They want to rob our kids so they can cross into the United States,' she added.

News of such tactic being employed by human traffickers in the vicinity of the shelter prompted pastor Gustavo Banda to beef up the security measures and chain down the entrance gate to the church.

'These are cases of desperation,' Banda said.

'Of course, the women have not accepted any of these offers, but clearly this is a huge concern because of the danger to the children.'

A 15-year-old migrant from Haiti told the San Diego Union-Tribune of the moment she saw men visiting the shelter offering to buy children.

'I could not even imagine the horror before I came here,' she said.

#1 Not seen as much of an issue by Democrats. Everyone arriving here illegally is viewed as a potential future Democrat. Their age and the illegal process are purely incidental to the desired outcome.

#6 Yes, the left can do some great philosophical contortions when it suits them. Human trafficking is a problem white people still need to feel guilty about (whether their ancestors were involved or not) when it was called slavery in the 1600-1800s and involved blacks being brought to America. Guatemalan or Salvadorean brown chilluns bought / sold and brought to America for whatever purposes? No problem at all. Any color person being bought / sold by muzz anywhere? Whether to do manual labor or be sexual slaves? No problem at all. And the left expects me to feel guilt?
