Germany: EU plan to bypass U.S. sanctions on Iran soon operational
[Ynet] German FM Maas to meet Rouhani, Zarif in Tehran as Berlin, London and Gay Paree move to salvage nuclear deal; Iran wants Europeans to do more to protect trade, declines to discuss missile program

All the formal requirements for a Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an payment system for barter-based trade with Iran designed to circumvent U.S. sanctions are now in place and it should be operational soon, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said in Tehran on Monday.

Continued from Page 2

Maas is in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
to meet President Hassan Rouhani and his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, as part of a European effort to salvage Iran's nuclear pact with world powers and defuse rising U.S.-Iranian tension.

"This is an instrument of a new kind, so it's not straightforward to operationalise it," Maas told news hounds.

"But all the formal requirements are in place now, and so I'm assuming we'll be ready to use it in the foreseeable future."

In an effort to protect at least some of Iran's economy from sweeping U.S. sanctions and keep alive a nuclear deal after Washington quit, La Belle France, Britannia and Germany have set up a special-purpose vehicle called Instex.

The three European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
members have been trying to get Iran to keep its commitments under the deal to cut back its nuclear programme - which Washington distrusts - by helping it to circumvent the trade sanctions Washington has reimposed.

They want Instex to meet norms for legitimate financing set by the Gay Paree-based Financial Action Task Force, even though Iran as a country is not yet fully compliant with them.

On a weekend stopover in Iraq en route to Tehran, Maas warned of the dangers that conflict with Iran posed for the entire Middle East, saying the Europeans were convinced it was worth trying to keep the nuclear pact with Iran.

A front man of the Iranian Foreign Ministry criticised the European signatories of its 2015 nuclear deal for failing to salvage the pact after President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
pulled the United States out of it last year and reimposed sanctions, state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
reported.

"So far, we have not seen practical and tangible steps from the Europeans to guarantee Iran's interests ... Tehran will not discuss any issue beyond the nuclear deal," Foreign Ministry front man Abbas Mousavi said.

Trump condemned the accord, signed by his predecessor Barack Obama
teachable moment...
, as flawed for not being permanent and for not covering Iran's ballistic missile programme or its role in conflicts around the Middle East.

The European signatories to the deal - La Belle France, Britannia and Germany - have been trying to save it but share the same concerns as the United States over Iran's ballistic missile development and regional activities.

"The EU is not in a position to question Iran's issues beyond the nuclear deal," Mousavi said.

#1 There may be a plan but it won't work. Most German companies are quietly bowing out. Iran is not worth the trouble.

#2 Maybe the muslim only communities in Germany can come up with cottage industries to trade for more halal items.

Thank you, European Conservative. I am very much looking forward to Frau Merkel also quietly bowing out after the next election. And I used to think so highly of her, too.

#4 Someone tell me, why are we still allied with them?

What I heard is our free, ruinously expensive military protection, combined with the massively unfair trade agreements that net Europe $170 billion a year (free college for all Americans $60 billion a year, Trump's wall $25 billion one time) buy us compliance with our policies.

It seems this is not so. Why are we paying for them? We're not even getting what we bribed them for. At this point, who can say that Europeans are anything but hostile to our interests?

Hey, I've got the solution. Just call them human shields and we can start murdering their civilians tomorrow. Like we did at Dresden. This one simple semantic reclassification makes it OK to kill as many as we need to fulfil our objectives. Warm up the B52s, I can't count how often Rantburgers call for them as a solution to our problems. Because mass murder works!

#5 @trailing wife

Unfortunately her (potential) successor is doing everything to enable a "Green" chancellor.
