Police, volunteers search Vegas Strip for human trafficking victims

[KTNV] Las Vegas police and dozens of volunteers hit the famous Las Vegas Strip to search for victims of human sex trafficking Friday night.

The most famous street in the world attracts visitors by the thousands every night but on a Super Bowl weekend that number is easily 300,000 according to Las Vegas Metro Police.

All of those visitors also means another element shows up -- human sex trafficking.

"We've got well over 100 folks here," said Las Vegas Police Capt. John Pelletier, while speaking to a group of police volunteers.

The volunteers got their marching orders just after 8 p.m. to begin searching the shadows and handing out fliers containing the pictures of missing children.

"The trafficking on the Super Bowl in every city is now red flagged, all of the traffickers know this," said Annie Lobert, who escaped human sex trafficking.

Lobert used to work the strip until she was able to escape.

She founded Hookers for Jesus and Destiny House.

"You are always on edge, so to leave you have to risk your life anyway," said Lobert.

"Most of the time, when these girls leave and the traffickers know they're leaving they will hunt them down and they will beat them almost to death," added Lobert.

Lobert said it is the threat and the fear that keep so many in the shadows.

#1 You shut down bootlegging by legalizing, regulating, and taxing alcohol. You shut down the numbers racket by legalizing, regulating and taxing the game. SCOTUS embraced 'between consenting adults' but left open the policing of 'commerce' between consenting adults. However, the real matriarchy still clings to its power over sex by banning competition. Made sense over a hundred years ago, when there were no welfare systems to protect and raise a family. You married and you took the financial obligations that came with it. The monopoly was granted for sex only in the married bedroom. However, in the intervening years, you've destroyed the institution of marriage. You have serial marriages, not quite yet concurrent, but that's being worked on as we type. You subsidized out of wedlock births and get more of them as a result. You validate child support to men who, by DNA are not the fathers, thus become accessories after the fact to bearing false witness.

You want to shut down the exploitation and seediness with this problem (as with bootlegging and the numbers racket), then legalize it, regulate it, tax it. However, the matriarchy and its minions will fight you every step of the way. The Venn Diagram of socialists who praise European culture, will somehow exclude how the Euros (and elsewhere) address commercial sex.

Technical note; yes its is legal in certain parts of Nevada, but not Clark County, Las Vegas.
