[UPDATE: 2 Officers In Critical Condition] ‐ Police confirm FIVE police officers have been shot in Houston!

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Four Houston police officers have been wounded, and one injured, in a shooting in southeast Houston while serving a narcotics warrant.

Life Flight was called to the scene. All the officers have been taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Two of the officers, ages 54 and 40, are in surgery in critical condition. Both were reportedly shot in the neck.

WHAT WE KNOW: Details on the injured officers

The other three injured officers are listed as stable. One of those officers is expected to be discharged from the hospital. None of the officers' names have been released.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo says narcotics officers, with patrol officers on the scene to provide support, announced themselves at the suspects' home in the 7800 block of Harding at about 4:15 p.m. Monday. Immediately, officers were under fire from one or two suspects inside the home.

Houston police confirmed two suspects were killed in the exchange of gunfire.

#4 According to reports, while on scene, the entry team waited in place 45 minutes before doing a dynamic entry.
Does anyone think that the miscreants did not have time to prepare a response?
I want to read a truthful "After Action Report" once everything settles down.
The way it is reading now is that someone higher up in the chain of command screwed up by the numbers.

#8 I can't believe they hit the house at 4:15 pm. The raid was the result of undercover work, not a sudden emergency. This type of work is best done at sunrise. No reports yet on decedent's weaponry.

#9 Officers were also attacked by the dealer's pit bull.
One dealer was killed when trying to take a wounded officer's gun.
This makes the fourth time one of the officers has been shot in Houston.
An officer who was shot was reĺeased after one day from the hospital and did not want his name released.
