#1 MP-5 clones. I've shot MP-5A4 and MP-K, but they just seem a little too mechanically complex these days. Especially for semi-auto clones. I'd rather have something more simple and easier to maintain. I'd love to have an MPX, but they are not cheap either, but better than MP-5's I think. Now if you offered me a free MP-5SD, I'd take it:p

#2 I'm with you SB. Besides, pistol cartridges have to start with a 4.

#3 My EDC is a 9mm though, it's just easier than lugging a .45 around, especially as mine is a H&K USP .45. Full size. You can hide it under a parka. But lately, I have this overpowering urge to get an M-1 carbine. I'm not sure why...of course, I'd also love a AK-9.

#5 M3A1 was the best I had used. Very heavy though, mainly heavy mags. Reliable, and abundant ammo (.45 ACP). Incendiary tracer was preferred. I'd tried many others, liked this one the best.

#6 M-1 Carbines...I've always wanted one, they are light and handy rifles, their cartridge is only anemic compared to a Garand or other battle rifle, but low recoil and more importantly I think it's made of wood which my wife prefers to my plasticy black rifles of DOOM (AR-10-Cause I only want to shoot 2-3 rounds, not half a mag:p Mine is a 16" carbine version, short but stout:D ) I'm very tempted by some of the newly built ones as I just want the rifle, not the history, got a garand for that:p

I'd love a subgun but that's not in the cards. Too expensive, too much legal hassle.

Of the three submachineguns I've shot, I liked the MP-5K the best. The A4 was heavier and the slower rate of fire was kind of annoying. The K was quite handy and fun. The 9mm Colt AR sucked. It was not fun to shoot. And reloading the mags was torture.

#7 My fav sub (yes 9mm) was the Swedish-K, Karl Gustav m/45. Have not shot one in decades, but I think I could still write my name on a wall with it at 25m.

Short video.

Note the muzzle control, relatively slow rate of fire (600 rpm).

#8 Saw these at Shot Show. Did not think that the build quality was on a par with the H&K original.

#10 For those liking the M1 carbine but looking for something a little bit different, go check out the Inland Advisor.

#11 I might be a bit of a wuss, but the Carl Gustav seems a bit weighty for everyday carry.
