They have lost the supreme court. They are losing the circuit courts. Even if they take the house, they won't have the senate and they will not be able to impeach, but even stop the rest of the circuit courts from flipping.

They know if they don't do something extreme, they will not be able to push their radical agenda on the public by force.

If they don't take the house, I do expect them to ease up a bit until the next election. But if they do take the house and still are getting run over by Trump and his policies, I do expect a full hot war to break out.

#4 Actually it feels more likely that if they don't get their vaunted blue wave, the crazies will go full-bore nuts. I really do think that will be what drives them over the edge is the fact they once again, lose and the people reject them. It will make them feel so isolated and rejected that they will feel they have no choice.
