Islamic Head teacher who hired London Bridge terrorist Khuram Butt is struck off

[TheTimes] A head teacher who employed an extremist who went on to carry out the London Bridge terrorist attack has been banned from teaching.

Sophie Rahman allowed Khuram Butt to teach children as young as three without any background checks, which would have revealed his violent past, a Teaching Regulation Agency hearing in Coventry was told.

Butt, 28, one of three terrorists who murdered eight people and injured 48 in June last year before being shot dead by police, taught a class at Eton Community School

#1 I had to read this to find out the meaning of 'struck off' in this context.

'Struck off' the approved list, not something more ... violent.
